Taxiphyllum 'Flame Moss' In Vitro

Create a striking vertical accent in your aquarium with Taxiphyllum 'Flame Moss', one of the most distinctive mosses available to aquascapers. Unlike most aquarium mosses, Flame Moss grows in tight, upright spirals, forming vibrant deep green shoots that resemble flickering flames, making it a true focal point in any planted aquarium.

Supplied in a sterile in vitro tissue culture cup, this plant is completely free from algae, snails, pests, and harmful chemicals, making it ideal for shrimp tanks, nature aquariums, and aquascaping enthusiasts.

Why Choose Flame Moss?

  • 🌿 Genuine Taxiphyllum 'Flame Moss' tissue culture plant
  • 🌿 100% snail, algae and pest free
  • 🌿 Unique upright, flame-like growth habit
  • 🌿 Deep green colour with dense, compact shoots
  • 🌿 Perfect for attaching to driftwood, rocks and bonsai trees
  • 🌿 Ideal for shrimp tanks and natural aquascapes
  • 🌿 Laboratory-grown for healthy, vigorous growth

Plant Care

Flame Moss typically grows 5–15 cm tall and is prized for its unusual vertical growth pattern. Rather than spreading quickly across surfaces, it grows upwards in tightly twisted shoots, making it perfect for creating dramatic aquascaping features and adding height to hardscape.

It performs well under low to medium lighting and benefits from regular fertilisation and optional CO₂ supplementation for faster, denser growth. While horizontal spreading is slow, occasional trimming encourages a fuller, healthier appearance.

For the best effect, attach small portions to driftwood, rocks, or aquarium decorations using aquarium-safe glue, cotton thread, or fishing line. Over time, the moss will naturally attach itself and develop its signature flame-like form.
