Pogostemon erectus grows to approximately 10–20 cm in height and 1–3 cm in width, forming dense groups of upright stems with soft, feathery foliage. Under medium to high lighting, the plant maintains a compact, bushy appearance and displays its brightest green colour.

A nutrient-rich substrate and regular fertilisation encourage vigorous root development and healthy growth. While CO₂ supplementation is optional, it helps produce denser, more compact stems and faster growth.
