Cryptocoryne Wendtii ‘Green’ In Vitro Aquarium Plant – Small

Cryptocoryne wendtii ‘Green’ is a popular and adaptable aquarium plant with attractive bright-green, slightly textured leaves. Its compact rosette growth makes it suitable for the foreground or midground of planted aquariums, while established groups can create a dense and natural appearance.

This hardy Cryptocoryne is an excellent choice for beginners and low-maintenance planted tanks. It adapts to a wide range of water conditions and can grow under low to medium aquarium lighting. Additional CO₂ is not essential, although it can support stronger and faster growth. Under brighter lighting, the plant generally remains more compact.

Over time, the plant produces underground runners and daughter plants, gradually forming an attractive cluster.

In vitro small portion

This plant is cultivated under controlled laboratory conditions and represents the full contents of one small in vitro tub. In vitro plants are free from algae, snails, snail eggs and other common aquarium pests.

Please note that the plant will be removed from its original tub and carefully repacked for transportation. This reduces the parcel size and helps protect the plant during delivery. You will still receive the full plant contents of one small in vitro tub.

The plant can be gently divided into several smaller portions before planting.

How to plant

1. Carefully remove the plant from its transport packaging.
2. Rinse away any remaining clear growing gel with clean water.
   
3. Plant each portion into a suitable aquarium substrate using tweezers.
4. Cover the roots while keeping the crown, where the leaves meet the roots, just above the substrate.
5. Leave a small space between each portion to allow new growth to develop.

Cryptocoryne plants can occasionally lose some older leaves after being introduced to a new aquarium. This is commonly known as Crypt melt and can happen while the plant adapts to different conditions. Leave healthy roots in the substrate and maintain stable conditions, as fresh submerged leaves can develop.
