Ludwigia glandulosa is more demanding than various other Ludwigias in the aquarium hobby and grows relatively slowly. Strong lighting, complete macro- and micronutrient supply via the water column as well as the substrate and CO2 addition are recommended. The temperature range is about 10 to 27 °C; 22 to 25 °C is optimal. It is best to plant a group of individual stems of different heights a few centimetres apart. Propagation is done by cuttings.
Ludwigia glandulosa is a real eye-catcher in the aquarium midground as a free-standing, solitary group of shoots of different lengths up to about 20 cm high and forms a strong colour accent. It contrasts with light green plants.
